Data Protection Policy
Thank you sincerely for your interest in our website. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Here we would like to explain in detail, how we handle your data.
1. Storage of access data in server log files
You can visit our website without having to enter your personal details. We will then merely save the access data in what are known as “server log files”. This data includes the name of the requested file, the date and time of the retrieval, the volume of data transferred and the provider from where the request is issued. This data will be analysed solely for the purpose of ensuring the site functions flawlessly and in order to improve it, and it does not enable any connection to be made to you personally. In particular, IP addresses are only stored in a truncated form in these log files, meaning that no connection can be established to particular individuals.
2. Collection and use of data for performance of contract, and when opening a customer account
We collect personal data voluntarily provided by you when you place a purchase order, when you make contact with us (e.g. by using the contact form or by email), or when you open a customer account. The data that we collect is evident from the data entry form in question. We use the data provided by you, to perform the contract and to handle your inquiries. After the contract has been completed or your customer account deleted, we will block your data from further use. It will be retained for up to 10 years in accordance with the retention periods prescribed by tax and commercial law, whereupon it will be erased unless you have consented to the further use of your data, or if we reserve the right to an additional use of the data, which is permitted by law and about which we have informed you. You may delete your customer account at any time. You can do this by sending us a message using the contact details provided below, or by using the delete function provided within the customer account.
3. Data transfer for performance of contract
In order to perform the contract, we will forward your data to our own agents and to the shipping company commissioned with performing the delivery, insofar as this is necessary in order to deliver the goods ordered. In order to complete the payment process, we will forward the necessary payment data to the bank commissioned with the payment, and, where relevant, to our payment services provider or to the payment service selected by you during the order process.
4. Use of data for subscriptions to the email newsletter
If you register to receive our newsletter, we will use the data necessary or the data separately provided by you, in order to regularly send our email newsletter to you.
